The snooker cue he uses is also customised for a child, but it is still almost as tall as he is. Every once in a while, Wang is seen crawling onto the table, taking aim and hitting the balls, potting them with amazing precision. After each ball makes the pockets, he can be seen grinning.
Wang’s father, a snooker enthusiast who lives in the city of Xuancheng, told the Anhui Business News that he bought a snooker table shortly after his son was born. He confirmed that he began teaching Wang to play when he was just a year old. Snooker ace Ding Junhui first picked up a cue when he was eight.
Little Wang is also ambidextrous, meaning he can pocket balls with either hand, his father told the paper. He now trains his son twice a day - for five hours. He hopes Wang can one day compete at a youth snooker match, and maybe have even more success.
Local residents also admire the little boy’s talents. “His posture and precision are both superb. I can’t beat him,” the paper cited a local billiard rental business owner saying.
Ding Junhui’s parents have been widely credited for his great success in becoming China’s most famous snooker player. Ding’s parents spent most of their spare time encouraging him when he was a boy.
Dings’ efforts have paid off in other ways too. Forbes magazine estimated that Ding earned between 8 million to 12 million yuan a year from 2006 to 2011, making him China’s 4th wealthiest athlete.
The greatest thing about this video is the amount he is enjoying playing.
